Prashanth Neel was born on June 4, 1980, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, into a Telugu-speaking family whose ancestral roots are in Neelakantapuram village near Madakasira in Andhra Pradesh. Prashanth was raised by his parents, Subhash Neelakantapuram and Bharathi Subhash.
