Career

VÆB gradually developed an electronic-pop and rap-oriented sound, combining energetic performances, humour, social-media creativity, and contemporary production. Their online presence helped establish them as one of Iceland’s emerging young music acts.
In 2024, the brothers entered Söngvakeppnin, Iceland’s national Eurovision selection, performing “Bíómynd.” They later returned to the competition and won the 2025 national final.
Their victory earned them the opportunity to represent Iceland at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, where they performed “Róa.” VÆB members wrote and composed the song with collaborators.
Hálfdán has continued working as a singer, songwriter, performer, and recording artist through VÆB. The duo’s music, live performances, television appearances, and international Eurovision exposure have expanded their audience beyond Iceland.
