Early Life

Carolina Giraldo Navarro was born in Medellin, Colombia, on February 14, 1991. She is the third and youngest of three children. Guillermo Giraldo, her father, is a musician, and Marta Navarro, her mother, is a housewife. Karol G started singing at a young age, inspired by her father’s music. She also listened to music from various genres, such as reggaeton, hip-hop, and pop.

Karol G signed her first record contract in 2007 with Flamingo Records in Colombia and Diamond Music in Puerto Rico. In 2008, she released her debut single, “En la Playa.” She appeared on the Colombian version of The X Factor in 2010. Personal Life

 Guillermo Giraldo and Martha Navarro are Karol G’s parents. Karol G has one sister, Jessica Giraldo. From 2018 until 2021, Karol G was in a relationship with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. They met on the set of their music video for “Culpables” and married in 2019. They did, however, announce their divorce in April 2021.
