Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu (born 6th of January 1989) is a Nigerian born singer, songwriter and musician.
He is one of Nigeria’s best pop and alternative singers who is well recognized as Ric Hassani.
He is in the league of Dare Art-Aade, Timi Dakolo and Chike.
He started off his profession by singing while playing a piano. He owns his own Record Label.

Early Life
Ric Hassani, born on The 6th of January 1989 is the last born and only male child of his family.
His sisters where choristers at their local church, an Anglican Church.
He hails from the capital city, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria.
As a young boy, he liked Physics and Mathematics. His father liked to listen to classical high life records.
He used to accompany his sisters to choir rehearsals, not for the music but for the meat-pie that was always shared during the rehearsals.
He was later given the job of distributing the meat pie. He started off at the age of 7 as a classical chorister.

Ric Hassani had his basic education in PortHarcourt where he was raised, he furthered to study Economics in Covenant University.
He also obtained a Masters degree in Energy Economics from the University of Surrey, England.

Ric Hassani started his professional career in 2013 by playing piano and singing.
He got the name, Hassani From a TV series he was fond of. His work is inspired by the works of Chris Brown, Sam Smith and Justin Bieber. He owns his own record label, Riverland Records.
