Sinach (born 30 March 1973) is the official known name of Nigerian gospel’s veteran, Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu.

A prominent Nigerian singer and songwriter born on the 30th of March 1973, she broke record as the first singer and songwriter to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter for 12 weeks in a row.

Sinach is also a senior worship leader at Loveworld. She was born in Lagos State which is in the western part of Nigeria.

She is a talented award winning gospel singer, songwriter, stage performer and a philanthropist whose voice and good will has been a blessing to many.

She started her career in her teenage age she became a born again Christian when she joined the choir of her local church popularly known as Christ Embassy.

While being a prominent person in the choice due to her extraordinary voice, she was later made a senior worship leader at the main church by The general Overseer, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome after he discovered her singing talent.

Sinach is the second child and daughter of a family comprising of seven children and she is currently 52 years old. She also got married to a Pastor at Believers Love World Ministries.

Early Life

Osinachi Kalu popularly recognized by the name, Sinach hails originally from Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

She was born in 1973 on the 30th of March to Nigerian family in Lagos, Nigeria.

She is also the second child of her family. She started singing in the year 1989 as an hobby.

She has also made it known that her parents’ always been her role model, so she got her tenacity and deep love from her father.

The Nigerian born gospel singer has gone so far as breaking record to be the first gospel writer to top the Billboard gospel songwriter chart 12 times in a row.

She is apparently signed to Love World Music label and has won several awards as a credit to her career including Best Gospel Artiste of the Year at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards in the year 2011, West Africa Best Vocalist and Best Hit Single at the Love Worlds Awards in the year 2012.

Sinach has performed at different countries like Ghana, Kenya, United Kingdom, Barbados, Tobago and co. In the year 2016, she received the African Achievers Award for Global Excellence. She also won the West Africa Artiste of the year in the same year (2016).
