Wendy Shay, hailing from Accra, the bustling capital of Ghana’s Greater Accra Region, was born on the 20th of February in 1996 to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Addo. Wendy Shay is a certified nurse who formerly worked as a professional midwife. She was a midwife before moving to Ghana to pursue her musical goals. Rufftown Records Manager Bullet led her to music, and she signed in January 2018 following the unexpected loss of label colleague Ebony Reigns. 

She was recently enstooled as the Ahenemba Hemaa of Gomoa Afransi in Ghana’s Central Region as Queen Ewurabena Ofosuhemaa Shay 1. Her debut single, Uber Driver, produced by M.O.G Beatz, was released on June 1, 2018. The song and official video were released on the same day.

Wendy Shay is a brand ambassador for Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA). She was fired as the Brand Ambassador for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA). However, it was later revealed that she is still the Ambassador.
