Early Life

Anne Lederman was born on July 20, 1983, in Philadelphia.

On July 19, her fraternal twin brother named Max Lederman was born just minutes before her.

Annie Lederman trained to be a Junior Olympic swimmer as a teenager, but she dropped out after suffering a foot injury in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. She then attended an alternative high school for juvenile delinquents, where she was sexually raped by a male teacher.

After the incident, Annie Lederman and another female student testified against him in court. She afterward became acquainted with several troublesome classmates who were involved in drug dealing and other criminal activities.

After graduating from high school at the age of seventeen, Annie Lederman spent the next year doing volunteer work, first training dolphins in Hawaii and then working for a nonprofit organization in Central America aiding disadvantaged children.

She then returned to the United States to serve as an Easterseals camp counsellor and organizations that aid children with impairments, including cerebral palsy and spina bifida.

After spending a year doing volunteer work, Annie Lederman enrolled at The College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She took classes there intermittently for eight years, majoring in art and counselling. She had a drinking problem in college and experienced multiple blackouts, one of which resulted in her colliding with a motor scooter and sustaining significant injuries.

She remembered, “I wasn’t getting wasted to have fun and be drunk.” “I was desperate for a freaking break. I despised myself. I simply did not want to be around myself.” Two weeks after her graduation, the college ran out of business and shuttered.

Career

Annie Lederman moved to New York City in 2009 to seek a career in comedy and became clean. In 2011, she and video artist Abbey Luck founded the YouTube channel Sausage Party Presents. She was a regular panellist on the E! series Chelsea Lately from 2012 to 2014.

Annie Lederman supplied Cheryl‘s voice in the Rockstar video game, Grand Theft Auto V in 2013. In addition, she starred in the short-lived comedy series, We Have Issues in 2015.
