Kim Min-ah was born on February 1, 1991, in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. She was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Kim alongside her younger sister, Kim Min-joo. Her upbringing eventually led her toward education and broadcasting rather than directly into entertainment.
Kim Min-ah attended Anyang Seo Elementary School before entering Seongmun High School.
