Jay Alvarrez (born 5 July 1995) is a gifted actor, internet personality and model from the United States.

He became well-known for his Instagram postings documenting his journeys to opulent and exotic destinations, where he usually partakes in dangerous sports like skydiving, surfing, and skating. 

Although he has over 5.9 million Instagram followers, Jay Alvarrez has over 1.2 million subscribers to his popular YouTube channel. After uploading pictures and videos with well-known Instagram model Alexis Ren, who was then his girlfriend, he gained notoriety. 

Since then, he has worked as a model for Express, Calvin Klein, the Hyundai Tucson, and, as of late 2017, Bonds swimwear. Jay Alvarrez is a music producer, having worked on a Kygo song titled Carry Me and has also previously worked on Armani Exchange and Ralph Lauren’s Ralph Love Fragrance ad campaigns.

Early Life & Education

On July 5, 1995, Jay Alvarrez was born in Oahu, Hawaii, United States. At the age of fifteen, he fled home and dropped out of school in the seventh grade. He claimed that his mother had kept him in check, but after she passed away when he was 15, he went through a trying time emotionally. 

Ironically, while having the life of his dreams, he ultimately got tired of his activities and started missing home. After three years, Jay Alvarrez packed up his possessions and headed back to Hawaii in the summer of 2017 in quest of a more balanced living since he missed his family and friends on the little Pacific Ocean island so much. 

He made the decision to purchase the ideal surfboard after saving enough money from his employment. Jay Alvarrez, who had always considered himself an outcast with different thoughts, feelings, and interests than most people, had begun receiving fan messages from people all over the world telling him how much they admired him for impacting them to get out of their comfort zones.

In March 2018, he published the collection video Jay In The Simulation EP #1 – Who is Jay Alvarrez? containing clips from his past work and narration that narrated the events of his life. In the midst of creating animations, house music, and virtual reality videos, Jay Alvarrez rediscovered with this upload his love for short episodic videos.

When Jay Alvarrez was a senior in high school and in love with Amber, he first developed an interest in photography. They both left school in the seventh grade because they believed they could profit from their creativity. 15 years, he decided to leave home in order to pursue his passion. Lacking sufficient funds to support himself, he had to seize every chance to work any odd job he could find to save money for his passion: exotic travel. 

He lost his mother that same year, which emotionally broke him and sent him into severe despair. But he believes that despair and creativity go hand in hand since they gave him the courage to finally be himself and live without restraints. When Jay Alvarrez became aware that social media was becoming a thing at the time, he decided to post pictures and videos of his travels throughout the world and his involvement in extreme sports like skydiving on various social media platforms.

Jay Alvarrez started off on Tumblr but rapidly switched to Instagram and YouTube. He got his big break as a model because of his social media following and his relationship with Alexis Ren at the time.

His own words: The jobs just kept growing crazier, and the paychecks only got bigger. He eventually grew accustomed to his new way of life, which included summers spent in Greece and the Mediterranean, autumns spent in Los Angeles and Miami, winters spent in Dubai and South East Asia, and spring ends in Central America and the Caribbean.

After their relationship ended in 2016, Jay Alvarrez, who had dated Alexis Ren from 2014 to 2016, got into a public argument with her on social media.

Fans began to speculate that something was wrong with their seemingly ideal relationship even before they made their split official. However, Alexis Ren initiated a cryptic message-filled Twitter rage in February 2017. 

She even stated that the relationship wasn’t beneficial for his business because of the separation. It turned heated when she made crude comments about his privates, to which he responded by contradicting her assertions. Additionally, he advised her to stop being resentful and grow up.
