Dimakatso Ratselane, a prominent Lesedi FM presenter, reportedly endured multiple stab wounds inflicted by her husband, Mackenzie Ratselane, on February 11 in Mangaung, Bloemfontein. Subsequently, a warrant for the 39-year-old Mr. Ratselane‘s arrest was issued on Monday, February 15, after unsuccessful attempts by the police to contact him. Following days as a fugitive, he was apprehended in Ennerdale, Johannesburg, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

The tragic incident unfolded as the couple reached their destination, where the husband accused his wife of infidelity and engaged in a heated argument that escalated into physical violence. Mackenzie repeatedly stabbed Dimakatso, causing severe injuries and leaving her in critical condition. Discovered by members of the local community in the middle of the night, she was rushed to Pelonomi Hospital for urgent medical attention. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was unable to communicate when found. Mackenzie fled the scene and was declared missing by authorities.
