He is a medical doctor, content creator, actor, writer, and humanitarian. He is the founder and executive director of the non-profit organization, The 100k Club, which is focused on alleviating health poverty in Nigeria and Africa.

Early Life

Aproko Doctor was born to the Igbo family of Mr. and Mrs. Egemba on the 26th of October 1990. He was birthed in a private-run hospital in Owerri City. His parents registered his birth with the name Egemba Chinonso Fidelis. 

Aproko Doctor‘s first name Chinonso is an Igbo name translated as “God Is Near.” He spent his formative years residing in his parent’s house located in a middle-class neighborhood in Owerri, Imo. He is an Igbo man who hails from one of the towns in Imo State. He speaks English, Igbo, and Pidgin English fluently.

Education

Aproko Doctor studied at leading private-owned schools in Imo State for his elementary and secondary education. 

After graduating from high school with good grades in his WAEC and NECO examinations in 2006, he decided to pursue a university education to achieve his dream of becoming a Medical Doctor. 

Aproko Doctor gained admission into the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. He bagged a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Anambra-owned institution in 2015. 

Career

After graduating from university, Aproko Doctor began his career as a medical doctor. In 2016, he secured employment as a Resident Doctor at Imo State University Teaching Hospital. He worked with the medical facility for a year before moving to Lagos, where he had secured a better employment opportunity as a doctor. While working as a Medical Doctor at a leading private-run hospital in Lagos, he launched the brand, Aproko Doctor. 

Under the name Aproko Doctor, he began to share health tips with Nigerians on social media so that they could live more healthy lives and avoid certain ailments. He used the Aproko Doctor brand to help Nigerians become aware of illnesses they may be suffering from and how to prevent and treat such sicknesses. While building his brand, he worked with Avon Medical Practice from May 2018 till February 2022. He resigned from his job and began to work full-time as a health content creator. 

Over the years, Aproko Doctor has grown his brand to become Nigeria’s leading health digital creator. His educative video content has influenced millions of lives to practice healthy living. He is one of the top social media influencers in the country, and his content always has lots of views because he infuses humor in his videos. 

Aproko Doctor is the Founder and Executive Director of The 100k Club, which is a non-profit organization registered in Nigeria. Aproko Doctor is currently 32 years old. The fair-skinned digital creator keeps a low-cut hairdo and wears medicated eyeglasses. He is five feet tall and has a robust body build. 

Aproko Doctor is a family man. He is married to Chiamaka Nwakalor-Egemba, his long-time girlfriend. The duo tied the knot in a private ceremony well-attended by family members and close friends in June 2020. 

The couple resides in a serviced apartment in Mainland Lagos and owns their personal cars. Chiamaka Nwakalor-Egemba works as an Afro-Fusion chef and a food content creator. Rumor has it that they have a son together.

On the 16th of January 2022, Aproko Doctor revealed to his fans that he had undergone a successful brain tumor surgery in December 2022. Due to the tumor, he was partially blind in one eye and had to be supported to move around. 

He made the announcement known via a video that contained footage of him at the hospital during and after the treatment. The video also includes his healing stages after the surgery. Aproko Doctor made it known that the surgery was carried out by Lagos-based Dr. Tayo Ojo. He spared no effort in praising Dr. Tayo Ojo for helping save his life.
