Drew McIntyre, a renowned professional wrestler, was born in Ayr, Scotland, on June 6, 1985. Growing up in the neighbouring town of Prestwick, he attended Prestwick Academy for his education. 

Raised by his parents, Angela Anne Galloway and Andrew Galloway Sr., Drew McIntyre also has two siblings: Cecilia Galloway and a brother whose name remains undisclosed to the media. Continuing his academic journey, Drew enrolled at Glasgow Caledonian University, pursuing criminology and earning a bachelor’s degree.

Career

Commencing his professional journey in 2001, Drew McIntyre established himself in the United Kingdom before being scouted by WWE in 2007. Subsequently, he embarked on a developmental contract and honed his skills at Ohio Valley Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling. Assuming the persona of The Chosen One, he made waves on SmackDown in 2009 by clinching the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, his tenure with WWE ended in 2014 when he was released from his contract.

After his hiatus, Drew McIntyre made a comeback to wrestling in 2015. He competed in various independent promotions and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he succeeded by capturing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in 2016. The following year, McIntyre rejoined WWE and was placed in NXT, where he showcased his skills and became the NXT Champion in 2018.

After being called up to the main roster in 2018, Drew McIntyre swiftly ascended to stardom within the WWE. The 38-year-old Drew McIntyre, the famous Scottish wrestler, tied the knot with Kaitlyn Frohnapfel in Florida on December 10, 2016. Kaitlyn, a physician by profession, also serves as Drew‘s trainer.
