Eddy Anthony Curry Jr. was born on December 5, 1982, in Harvey, Illinois. Raised by his parents, Eddy Curry Sr. and Gayle Curry, along with his sisters Nicole and Beth Curry. In 2009, Curry faced a lawsuit from his former chauffeur, David Kuchinsky, who accused Curry of inappropriate behavior. According to legal documents, Curry allegedly approached Kuchinsky unclothed on two occasions, making suggestive remarks.

Kuchinsky also claimed that Curry used racial slurs towards him. Additionally, Kuchinsky asserted that Curry owed him $68,000 in unpaid wages and $25,000 in expenses for items like cellphones and entertainment bills, which Curry allegedly never reimbursed.

Curry’s attorney, Kelly A. Saindon, dismissed these allegations as baseless and described them as an attempt at extortion. The lawsuit was dismissed by federal judge Denise Cote on May 28, 2009, and referred to arbitration.
