Tobey Maguire Officiates Ex-Wife Jennifer Meyer’s Wedding to Billionaire Heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi
Tobey Maguire, the Spider-Man star, officiated the wedding of his ex-wife, the jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, to Geoffrey Ogunlesi on Saturday, Oct. 10, only weeks after the former couple ended their marriage.
The ceremony took place at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii, and Mr. Ogunlesi is the son of the Nigerian billionaire Adebayo Ogunlesi.

TMZ was first to report the news on Sunday, with Page Six following. Ms. Meyer, 49 years old, wore a strapless white gown and a veil, while Mr. Ogunlesi wore a black suit and bow tie. Guests included Courteney Cox, Rachel Zoe, Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, and Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.
Ms. Meyer’s three children also attended: Ruby Maguire, 19, and Otis Maguire, 17, whom she shares with Mr. Maguire, and her infant daughter with Mr. Ogunlesi.
The wedding came less than three weeks after Mr. Maguire, 51 years old, and Ms. Meyer were legally declared single on Sept. 21. Court documents cited by several outlets show the two agreed to end their marital status while continuing to settle remaining legal and financial matters. Ms. Meyer met Mr. Maguire in 2003, and they married on Sept. 3, 2007, in Kona, Hawaii. They announced their separation in October 2016, after nine years of marriage.
Mr. Ogunlesi is the founder and chief executive of The Ogunlesi Group, a Los Angeles artist management firm, and is roughly 15 years younger than his wife. His father, a lawyer and investment banker, co-founded the private equity firm Global Infrastructure Partners, which owns London Gatwick Airport. The elder Mr. Ogunlesi has a net worth of $1.7 billion.
The couple were first linked in the summer of 2023 and made their red carpet debut that November at the Baby2Baby Gala, where Ms. Meyer serves on the board of the Los Angeles nonprofit. She announced the engagement on Instagram in September 2024 with the caption “YES!!!” and a photo showing a ring that reports described as emerald-cut. Ms. Meyer told a fan that Mr. Ogunlesi had arranged the proposal entirely on his own.
Jennifer Garner, Goldie Hawn, Paris Hilton and Rachel Bilson were among those who posted congratulations. Ms. Meyer later announced she was expecting a baby girl, and the child was born earlier this year. In a Father’s Day post, she celebrated Mr. Ogunlesi as a new father.
Ms. Meyer, born in 1977, is the daughter of Ron Meyer, the longtime Universal Studios executive. She founded the jewelry label Jennifer Meyer Jewelry, whose pieces have been worn by Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson, and in 2015 she designed the wedding ring for Ms. Aniston’s marriage to Justin Theroux. Mr. Maguire attended the party marking the brand’s 20th anniversary.
The friendship between Ms. Meyer and Mr. Maguire has been a recurring theme in her public remarks. The two went through couples therapy during the split, and Ms. Meyer has credited Ms. Paltrow’s “conscious uncoupling” approach as an influence on how they handled it.
On the 2022 podcast The World’s First Podcast, hosted by Sara Foster and Erin Foster, she described the divorce as the most beautiful experience of her life. In January 2025, when wildfires tore through Los Angeles, her first call was to Mr. Maguire. She, Mr. Ogunlesi and her two children then stayed at his West Hollywood home, where Mr. Ogunlesi and his best friend watched movies with Mr. Maguire in the evenings. Ms. Meyer has called him “the greatest ex-husband a girl could ever have.”
After the engagement, Mr. Maguire grew even closer to his ex-wife’s future husband, she has said. His role at the altar made the blended family’s bond visible to the whole guest list.
