The Central Bank of Nigeria’s official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market rate remained near ₦1,333 to ₦1,336 per dollar, leaving a street premium of about ₦45 to ₦55, or roughly 3.4 to 4 percent. Morning quotations largely held the previous day’s range, with no sharp swings reported, as demand from importers, travellers and students stayed orderly.

External reserves continued to support official liquidity, and the gap between the formal window and the informal market has remained relatively contained compared with wider spreads seen in earlier periods.

Quotes still differed slightly by location, transaction size and time of day, and operators noted that the informal rate can move before the close of business depending on local supply and remittance inflows.

Cash deals outside the banking system remain the practical reference for many users who cannot access dollars at the CBN rate, and anyone planning an exchange is advised to confirm the live figure with a trusted dealer.
