Early Life & Education

Adeoye ‘Elesho’ Adewale was born on the 10th of January 1959 in Ikirun, Osun State. His parents were disciplinarians, and he was brought up well by them.

He grew up in Ile Ife. According to him, he had a good life as a child and youth because his father was the Baale of his village.

Adeoye ‘Elesho’ Adewale started his education at a Local Authority (L.A.) Primary School in Osun State. After which, he proceeded to a Modern School in Ile Ife.

While he was still a student at the Modern School, he desired to learn how to sell pharmaceutical products, and this desire made him pull out of Modern school.

Career

Before venturing into acting, Adeoye ‘Elesho’ Adewale has worked with many companies in different parts of Osun State and beyond. His acting career went as far back as his primary school days.

According to him, when he was interviewed, he said he started from Ilorin as an actor. He said he and his crew began by performing stage plays in schools.

He also said that the movie “Taxi Driver” actually brought him to the limelight because it was the first optical film he featured in. He met with other veteran actors in the movie industry like Baba Lere Paimo (Eda), Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Wole Olowomojuore, Ogun Majek in Ibadan, Olofa Ina, Toyosi Arigbabowo, and many others.

He came into the spotlight gradually because of his unique and legendary use of words in the Yoruba language.
