Pow Xun Ping (born October 4th, 1990), addressed as Shane Pow, is a renowned actor and TV personality from Singapore. 

He is one of the eight celebrities dubbed Dukes of Caldecott Hill by the media due to their popularity and distinguished reputation among their peers and the public. 

Shane Pow started acting in 2012 and appeared in many popular Singaporean dramas and movies. He is best known for his role as B-Niu in the hit Channel 8 drama, It Takes Two and has won numerous accolades for his work in film and television.

Early Life & Education

Pow Xun Ping, also known as Shane Pow, was born in Singapore on October 4th, 1990. He has an elder sister and a younger brother. He was educated at Woodlands Ring Secondary School and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Although he was born and raised in Singapore, he is of Chinese origin. His father’s identity is relatively unknown, but Shane Pow shared some pictures of his father on Instagram.

Shane Pow is an avid sportsman and represented the Singapore National Youth Basketball team in international competitions before an unexpected injury forced him to stop competing.

Shane Pow and Kimberly Wang met in 2016 and have been in a romantic relationship since then. They are both successful young professionals who have their careers and life goals.

Career

Shane Pow worked as a part-time sports presenter for SPH RazorTV’s Livewire program when he was 19 years old. A modeling agency discovered his skills, and he started participating in photo sessions like the Get Your Sexy Back Campaign to promote moderation in drinking.

2011 saw Shane Pow sign up for the Manhunt Singapore tournament. He was managed by Beam Artistes, who were also the producers of the Manhunt Singapore 2011. After ManHunt, he landed cameo roles in several local series. After completing his National Service requirements in 2012, he signed a contract with MediaCorp to work as an illustrator. His breakout performance was in the local drama, It Takes Two, which premiered in 2012.

Shane Pow made his hosting debut in 2014, hosting Cheap and Good and Style Check-in 4. Additionally, he appeared in the films Serve H.O.T., Against the Tide, and Three Wishes, which won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes category at the Star Awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

He shot Family On the Edge and The Journey: Our Homeland in 2015. He has appeared in House of Fortune, Beyond Words, Peace & Prosperity, and two YouTube original series, Soul Reaper and I Want to Be a Star, all of which were released in 2016.

He acted in the 2017 movie When Duty Calls, which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2018 Star Awards. Shane Pow‘s contract with Beam Artistes ended when he signed a management agreement with Mediacorp on December 12th, 2017.
