She is a top-paid actress for playing Dr. Meredith Grey in the television show Grey’s Anatomy. In the quest for better opportunities, She moved to New York City, where she was born.

Early Life

The 10th of November 1969 saw the birth of Ellen Pompeo in Everett, Massachusetts, United States, to parents Joseph Pompeo and Kathleen Pompeo. Her family practiced Catholicism. 

She has two brothers and three sisters. She lost her mother when she was just five years old. One of her sisters is named Maureen Pompeo.
