Early Life & Education

On July 10th, Jaiye Kuti was born in Ilaro, Ogun State. Her birth year is 1969, which makes her 54 years old. Her father’s name is Rufus Adisa Oluwale.

She hails from Yewa Ayetoro, Egbado in Ogun state. She began her elementary school at Sunshine Primary School, but when her father was transferred to NITEL, she had to shift to Temidire Primary School. 

Jaiye Kuti joined Ikorodu High School for secondary school after receiving her first certificate of completion. She was also accepted into the Ilaro Federal Polytechnic in Ogun State to study secretarial administration. 

Jaiye Kuti didn’t stop there; she continued her education at the elite University of Lagos, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English.

Career

Before becoming an actor, Jaiye Kuti worked in finance. Her mother tried to stop her from pursuing a profession in acting because she was concerned that it would negatively affect her. 

First of all, her original plan was to be a film producer, but she decided to act in films to build a network first.

In 2002, she made her film debut in Laff Patterns‘ television series. This series catapulted her into the spotlight.
