Born on July 16, 1996, in Jinja, Uganda, John Blaq is the child of Musa Waiswa Zodolo and Annet Nabirye. 

His formative years were spent in the Bweyogerere neighbourhood of Kampala alongside his siblings Azawi and Katumba Kasadha. 

John Blaq attended Lwanda Primary School and Hasan Tourabi Primary School for his primary education. Subsequently, in 2012, he pursued his secondary education at Bweyogerere Secondary School, achieving success in both the UCE and UACE examinations in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
