Early Life & Education

Mercy Eke was born on September 29, 1993. She hails from Imo State, South-eastern Nigeria. She is Igbo by the tribe. She has a sister named Promise Eke.

Mercy Eke attended Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri Imo State, Nigeria. 

Then she headed to Imo State University in Owerri for her tertiary education.

Career 

Mercy Eke entered the Big Brother Naija house on 30 June 2019 and was announced as the winner in October 2019, becoming the first woman to win the top prize. Before then, she had auditioned for Big Brother Naija four times before becoming a contestant.

The queen of highlight emerged as the winner of the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija season four over fellow housemates, Frodd, Mike Edward, Omashola Oburoh and Seyi Awolowo. 

Mercy Eke was handed the sum of 60 million naira for winning the show as the grand prize. She, to this day, remains one of the most talked-about competitors of the Big Brother Naija Reality Show.

After winning season 4 of Big Brother Naija, she became an ambassador and influencer for various organizations, including Ciroc and Mr. Taxi. In 2020, she made her acting debut in a Nollywood film titled Fate of Alakada.
