Rita Ora What’s the 35-Year-Old Singer Been Up to Since Her Last Album Release
Since she burst onto the scene in the early 2010s, Rita Ora has become a staple of the British music news cycle. Somewhat remarkably, she’s ridden this fame on the back of just three albums to date, which landed in 2012, 2018, and 2023.
Those produced four headline tours leading to 2019, and she played a supporting role for Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour in 2025. Even so, she’s been able to stay in the spotlight. So, what’s Ora been up to since her last album?

Recently, Ora partook in a bit of a social media blackout, deciding to put her phone to one side for her holiday in South Africa. Such a move didn’t come out of nowhere, though, with Ora’s confessions about her favourite hobbies in the past showcasing her love of getting away from the spotlight. That hobby happens to be fishing.
This activity is having its time in the sun right now. People are intrigued by both the tranquillity and the action side. In online gaming, fishing is the most popular theme. Those who spin Big Bass Bonanza slot online seek to get to the free spins feature. Here, players can build up multipliers, earn more free spins, and catch cash-carrying fish.
On TV, too, fishing is enjoying the spotlight again. Grand Fishing Adventure returned for a fourth run of its rip-roaring fishing trips earlier this year, getting another strong reception. If schedules align, perhaps Ora could feature as a guest on the ITV show. Beyond that, she might just be enjoying her own fishing adventures.
It was back in 2017, speaking on the BBC Breakfast show about her single Your Song, that Ora detailed her surprise hobby. She said that “it’s a random thing for me to do, but I like it.” She explained, “you just sit there and wait,” as one of the reasons for her fondness for the activity. Given her recent travels, such as to South Africa, there’s a good chance she cast a line.
Film, Events, and a New Album
Between her last two albums, Ora got married to director Taika Waititi, which took place in 2022, leading directly to her third album. Since then, music has taken a bit of a backseat to her acting ambitions. When music is in play, though, Waititi has been a regular behind the camera for her music videos.
Since the 2023 album release, which wasn’t accompanied by a major tour, Ora’s featured in six films, three of which are either still in the works or not released to the public just yet. On the way for 2027 releases are Voltron and Honeymoon with Harry, while He Bled Neon debuted at SXSW earlier this year.
On TV, she’s featured in the show It’s Florida, Man as Doctor Jasonville, while retaining her post on The Masked Singer in the US. Away from the TV, she put on a show for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final at Lord’s, helped to launch the August Omaze prize draw, and was the cover star of Women’s Health, speaking about her fitness ethos.
So, she’s been around a fair bit, never straying too far from the entertainment spotlight and still called upon for her star power. Next, though, fans will be happy to hear that a fourth album is very much in the works.
