Ondo State Governor, Aiyedatiwa, Swiftly Appoints Key Aides

The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, wasted no time assembling his core team, announcing the appointment of five key aides shortly after taking the oath of office. The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Omojuwa Olusegun, disclosed this in an official statement on Wednesday.

The newly appointed Chief Press Secretary is Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan, a seasoned journalist and former Publisher of Trace News magazine. Sunday Abire has been named the Special Assistant on New Media. Additionally, Smart Omodunbi assumes the role of Special Assistant on Political Matters, Monturayo Oyedele as Special Assistant on Photography, and Temitayo Iperepolu as Special Assistant on Domestic and Government House.

The appointments, effective immediately, mark the initial steps in shaping Aiyedatiwa‘s administration. The prompt selection of key aides underscores the governor’s commitment to hitting the ground running to address the state’s challenges and fulfill his promises to the people.

However, against the backdrop of these appointments, there have been resignations from the previous administration. Dare Aragbaye, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State governor on Union Matters and special duties, tendered his resignation, citing the unfortunate death of the former governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, as the primary reason. In a similar move, Oladoyin Odebowale, the Senior Special Assistant to Akeredolu on Sexual Duties and Strategy, also resigned, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve under the previous administration.

As Governor Aiyedatiwa assembled his team, these developments set the stage for the new administration to navigate the state’s affairs and address emerging challenges.
