Taiwo Hassan, a renowned actor, producer, and director in Nigerian cinema, also known as Ogogo, was born on October 31, 1959, in Ilaro, Ogun State. His parents, Taiwo Subaru Akande and Halimat Ayinke Jenrade, raised him. His family has a history of twins, and he has a twin brother. 

His grandfather and father were identical twins. Taiwo Hassan received his secondary education at Lagos’ Gazikia College but could not complete it because of a financial issue. After completing his technical college coursework, he spent roughly 13 years working as an auto mechanic for the water company.

Career

Taiwo Hassan‘s acting career started in the early 1980s when he was working as a mechanic. He appeared in the popular television drama series Yemi My Lover. Following his debut, he began to star in numerous Yoruba movies, including Owo Blow, Ija Ominira, Owo Ale, Koto Orun, Kosorogun, Ile Aiye, Kofo Tinubu, Oloju Ede and many more.

Taiwo Hassan‘s career has encompassed several motion pictures with more than 100 films in the Yoruba and English categories under his belt from Nollywood.
