Early Life & Education

He went to Standard International School when he was in primary school. His secondary education was likewise completed at the same primary school.

Erigga was renowned for participating in the Milo Basketball Competition during his secondary school years.

Career

Erigga wanted to be a professional basketball player before becoming an artist. People assumed he would do well in sports because he was so prolific in them from the start. He excelled in sports from a young age, and he was even a member of one of the Milo Basketball Championship teams.

Somewhere along the road, he felt that music was a better fit for him and redirected his interests to pursue it. With songs like “Paper Boi,” he began to pursue music.

He began recording songs in the studio in his early twenties, influenced by great rappers such as Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Nas, Rakim, Ja rule, and Canibus

Erigga‘s rap style is distinct, and his tracks are mainly raw, making them inappropriate for juvenile fans, audience members, and other listeners. As previously stated, he raps in pidgin English, which is a West African patois. His phrases are polished, and he is a master at conjuring up lyrical images in the minds of his listeners.

After releasing his video for the song ‘Dem No Get Two Heads,’ he became a hotspot in the music industry. Igho Tosin of the Igho films shot and directed the video. The video, however, was deemed inappropriate and had a significant impact on Erigga‘s musical career. It did not fare so well on TV and radio, and Erigga lost a lot of prizes, endorsements, and nominations as a result.

His other songs are generally prohibited, but the musician does not seem to mind and keeps rising higher with much love from his followers. Erigga is currently contracted to Snow Man, a seasoned artist manager, and his label, New Money Records. His success is more accurately described as self-made.

As a result of the immoral nature of Erigga‘s songs, his music did not receive much airplay. The song in question is “Dem No Get Two Heads,” which he published in 2010. The song’s music video, directed by Igho Tosin of Igho Films, had violent themes. The Warri native was sentenced to four years in prison for minor crimes. He is suspected of committing armed robbery and petty burglary.

Due to his attire, he is thought to be a member of the diabolical cult group Black Axe Confraternity.

Personal Life

Morenike Agarivbie is Erigga‘s wife. On the 2nd of October 2020, he married her in a traditional wedding in Warri, Nigeria. Kyla Agarivbie, his 3-year-old daughter, is his other child.

When it comes to marriage, he believes that the reason for many disastrous marriages is that women marry men who are ready for marriage rather than the men they love.
