Michael Lamar White II, better known to his fans as Trippie Redd, was born on June 18, 1999, in Canton, Ohio, United States. He came from a musically-inclined family and was raised listening to the soulful sounds of Ashanti, Beyoncé, Tupac Shakur, and Nas, which inspired him to start rapping. 

He also had an older brother, Dirty Redd, who was also a musician and who tragically died in a car accident in 2014. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he spoke candidly about his brother’s untimely death’s profound impact on him.
