Ebubu Chukwuebuka (born in 1994) is a Nigerian creative and reality TV star. He is popularly known by the moniker – Ebubu. 

The Lagos-based commercial model has worked as a Video Vixen in several music videos shot in Nigeria. A trained thespian, he is an up-and-coming actor in the Nollywood film industry. 

Ebubu is currently a housemate in the Big Brother Titans Reality Show.

Early Life

Ebubu is a Nigerian by birth. He was born into a Southern family in 1994. She was birthed in a private-owned medical center in Lagos State. He spent his formative years living in Lagos City with his parents and siblings. Ebubu‘s official first name is Chukwuebuka.

Ebubu is from a close-knit Christian household where they love and support one another’s dreams. Although born and raised in the Mainland area of Lagos State, he is originally from the South-East geopolitical zone. 

He hails from Anambra State. Ebubu speaks English and Igbo languages fluently and can also write in both languages. 

Education

Ebubu has been a resident of Lagos City since his childhood. He underwent his three tiers of education in Lagos State. 

He attended top private-owned schools in his local government area for elementary and secondary education. He graduated high school in 2010 after completing his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). He secured good grades in the O’Levels. 

After that, Ebubu gained admission into the state-run Lagos State University (LASU), where he studied Theatre Arts. He bagged his Bachelor’s degree after four years of study. 

Career

Ebubu has been passionate about the creative industry from a young age. As a child, he often drew art in sketchbooks during leisure time. He also dabbled in music as a teenager. During high school, he was a member of an Afropop music group. The group succeeded in recording a few singles before disbanding.

However, Ebubu‘s first love has always been acting. Since he was in primary school, he had taken a keen interest in the acting profession. He participated in every school play held in primary and secondary school. He also took his love for acting to church, where he was an active member of his parish’s drama unit. He dreamt of becoming a Nollywood superstar. It was in pursuit of this dream that he chose to study Theatre Arts at LASU.

As a Theatre Arts undergraduate at LASU, Ebubu immersed himself in his studies and extra-curricular activities that will help him become a better actor. He joined a theatre group on campus, which helped him hone his acting skill. He also learned how to write scripts for stage plays and films and how to produce a stage play. 

While Ebubu was in the university, he picked up a new interest – modeling. Initially, he helped his friends and classmates to model for their brands. Seeing the positive reviews that he got from his work, he decided to make it a career. He signed up with a local modeling agency in Lagos City, which helped him secure modeling gigs nationwide.

Although he began as a fashion model, Ebubu has metamorphosed into a commercial model. He has worked with several brands and creative directors in Southern Nigeria. Many music video directors have hired him to work as a Video Vixen on their projects. He has also collaborated with a few rising indie filmmakers to tell stories depicting the average Nigerian’s realities. So, he works as a stage actor and has appeared in some short films and feature films. 

Over the years, Ebubu has worked hard to achieve his dream of becoming a Nollywood superstar. He has taken a shot at many opportunities because of this dream. In 2022, he got another chance to achieve his goal when news of the Big Brother Titans show hit social media and media stations. He auditioned for a spot on the reality show, and after passing through different screening stages, he made it into the house.

Ebubu was unveiled as a Big Brother Titans housemate on the 15th of January, 2023. He is competing with other housemates for the grand prize of $100,000 (USD). He plans to use the Big Brother Titans platform to further his career in the creative industry.

The Lagos-born creative Ebubu is 30 years old. He has albinism and a slender body build. Due to his handsome looks, he has hundreds of female admirers out of fans of the Big Brother Titans show. 

Before moving into the Big Brother Titans house in South Africa, Ebubu resided in the Mainland district of Lagos. He lives in a well-furnished apartment in a middle-class neighborhood in the city. He spends his free time hanging out with friends or visiting family. During the Christmas holidays, Ebubu travels with his family to Anambra to celebrate the festive season with his extended family members.
