Emmanuel Eme (born in 1999) is an actor, model, reality TV personality, and fashion stylist from Nigeria. He is popularly known by the nickname Kanaga Jnr. 

As an actor, he has appeared in several short films, feature films, and series. He was cast in Netflix’s original series, Far From Home. 

In 2022, Kanaga Jnr secured a spot in the web series MTV Shuga Naija Season 5. He is also a Reality TV Star and is currently a Big Brother Titans Housemate.

Early Life

Kanaga Jnr was born into the Illustrious Anagha family in 1999. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anagha. Although he is popularly called Kanaga Jnr, his parents and extended family refer to him as Emmanue Eme. His official government name is Kalu Emmanuel Eme Anagha. 

He is from the South-east region of Nigeria and hails from Abia State. He is originally from Aba and traces his roots to Ohiafia Local Government Area in Abia State. He has an older brother named Nnamdi Kanaga. He was born in Aba and spent his early years in the city. Kanaga Jnr is from a Christian household and was raised in the Catholic faith. During his childhood and teenage years, he attended weekly mass at a local Catholic parish in his community. 

Since becoming a teenager, Kanaga Jnr has been interested in entertainment. He aspired to be a Nollywood superstar. His desire to become an actor made him sign up for his school’s drama society. He was an active club member and often played lead or supporting roles in stage plays produced by the drama society. He also took his love for acting to church, where he was a prominent drama unit member.

Career

In his undergraduate days, Kanaga Jnr decided to hone his acting skill by signing up with a theatre company on campus. He performed stage plays in universities across the South East region alongside other theatre troupe members. He took his career further by auditioning for roles in short films produced by indie filmmakers. 

So far, Kanaga Jnr has appeared in a few films that have made it to the screen. He appeared in the movie, Choose Life, which featured Debby Felix. Russel Oru directed the film. He also secured a spot in the Jenifa Diary series, where he played the role of Leo. He played a lead role in the film, The Hail Mary. He plays the role of Kachi Okezie in the fifth MTV Shuga Naija series season.

Kanaga Jnr is currently 23 years old. He is 5 feet tall, has a slender body build, and is light-skinned. He had migrated from Aba to Lagos City after completing his studies. He moved to Lagos to explore more career opportunities as an actor and model. He currently resides in Lagos State. 

He lives in a well-furnished apartment with his older brother, Nnamdi, in Mainland Lagos. Kanaga Jnr lost his father to the cold hands of death when he was barely a teenager. 

His fanbase is called Kanaga Force. One of the actors he looks up to in the industry is Nollywood superstar Timini Egbuson. The duo has a mentor-mentee kind of relationship.
