Early Life

Jenni O was born in 1997 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Okoro. She was birthed in a public medical center in Chicago, Illinois. She is an American by birth and spent her formative years residing in the United States of America. However, she has Nigerian roots. Her parents are Nigerians who hail from Imo State. 

Jenni O holds dual citizenship, Nigerian and American. She is an Igbo woman who originally hails from the Southeastern region of Nigeria. Her official birth name is Jennifer Okoro. She grew up in a middle-class neighbourhood in Chicago. 

The Older Okoros worked hard to provide for Jenni O and her siblings. She is from a close-knit family and was doted upon by her parents. Growing up, she attended a local Pentecostal church in Chicago. She and her family visited Nigeria during the holidays during her childhood and teenage years. 

Since Jenni O was a young girl, Jenni has aspired to work in the medical profession. She dreamt of becoming a Public Health professional and worked hard at her studies in high school to achieve this dream.

Education

Jenni O studied at leading state-run schools for her elementary, junior, and high education. After graduating high school with an excellent CGPA score, she pursued a college education at one of America’s universities.

She is an alumnus of Illinois State University (ISU), where she gained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health and Preventive Medicine. She bagged her bachelor’s degree in 2020. 

After that, Jenni O studied at The University Of Georgia (UGA) for her Master of Public Health (MPH). She bagged the master’s degree in 2022.

Career

In 2015, before gaining admission into the university, Jenni O interned with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago for 3-months. During her undergraduate days at Illinois State University, she was the president of the African Student Association. She was president of the student body from 2018 to 2019. She also held Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant positions at Texas A&M University and Illinois State University, respectively. 

In 2020, Jenni O worked as an intern at BPI for four months. Before then, she had worked as a Preventive Medicine Intern at Rush University Medical Center. 

From January 2020 to February 2021, she worked as a Project Assistant with MDNewsline. She was a part-time staff at the organization. She also underwent a 5-month internship at the Center For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2021.

In June 2021, Jenni O joined the Kite Pharma organization as an Intern. She held the internship position for 4-months before being offered a full-time role as an Environment Health Specialist in September 2021. She worked at the firm till October 2022, when she moved back to her fatherland, Nigeria. 

Jenni O migrated back to Nigeria to pursue her love for entertainment. Despite being passionate about the medical profession, she had a soft spot for the entertainment industry and wanted to be a Reality TV Star. She auditioned for the Big Brother Titans show and was selected to be a housemate on the reality show. Jenni O was unveiled as a Big Brother Titans housemate on the 15th of January, 2023.
