The adorable celebrity is hit the limelight after winning the first runner-up batch at the Miss SA Teen in 2003.

Early Life

Pearl Thusi was born on the 13th day of May 1988 into a family of three.

She had a difficult upbringing as her father Mr. Bhekizizwe Thusi constantly abused her mother till the day her mother died. She was 14 years old when her mother passed on.

Due to the ugly situation, to date, Pearl Thusi still has a strained relationship with her father. After the death of her mother, she immediately took the role of a mother to her younger sisters, Silinde and Sanilisiwe Thusi.

Education

Pearl Thusi attended the Pinetown Girls High School. Shortly after completing school, she enrolled in pursuing modeling as a career.

Career

Pearl Thusi started her career as a model at the age of 15. She contested in several beauty pageants in her home town Kwazulu-Natal. In doing that, she learned the basics of modeling.

She contested in 2003 for the crown of Miss Teen South Africa and ended up at the first runner-up. She was the youngest contestant.

As a result of her success in her first major competition, she decided to continue in entertainment. She appeared in numerous commercials for different companies in South Africa.
