Magnito, a versatile Nigerian musical artist, was born in Abuja on September 15, 1993. He is an indigene of Benue State, and represents Idoma tribe. His parents, generally referred to in the media as Mr. and Mrs. Adamu raised him throughout his childhood. 

Unfortunately, there is limited knowledge regarding his siblings’ identities. Growing up in Abuja, Magnito completed his primary and secondary education. 

In 2007, Magnito furthered his academic journey by pursuing a degree in business management at the University of Jos (Unijos), located in Plateau State.

Career

In his youthful days at 19, Magnito‘s rap journey began when his friend Philosophy ignited the fire. Together, they formed the Mic Checkers crew.

As a fledgling rapper, Magnito drew inspiration from legends like Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, and 2pac. Their distinct styles drove him to explore his musical talents.

Magnito‘s debut track, Tele Mi, emerged during his university years, a creation produced by DaCapo. He reminisced about the financial hurdle of a N25,000 studio session, even resorting to selling his deck for N15,000 to make it happen in Abuja.

Magnito‘s star started to rise with the release of Medicine Girl in 2010, a tune that resonated widely.

Over time, Magnito‘s musical tapestry grew with more than 85 songs, including hits like Kaka, Medicine Girl, Canada, and Relationship Be Like.
