Career

Forgeard launched the earliest version of Nelk in July 2010 as a high-school freshman, initially working with twin brothers Niko Martinovic and Marko Martinovic and fellow Mississauga native Lucas Gasparini under the name NelkFilmz.

The channel did not break through until Forgeard met Jesse Sebastiani in 2014, after which the pair rebranded the channel as Nelk and shifted toward prank and stunt content. Their 2015 video pranking police officers by claiming to be carrying “coke,” a reference to Coca-Cola, went viral and became the channel’s breakout moment, pushing subscriber counts past a million for the first time.
