Adekunle Oladimeji Olopade (born October 6, 1994) is a Nigerian chartered accountant, entrepreneur, and reality TV star. He sometimes addresses himself as Elder Statesman.

He came to the limelight in the Nigerian entertainment space after he was selected as one of the Big Brother Naija housemates in July 2022.

Early Life

BBNaija Adekunle Olopade was born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Olopade on the 6th of October, 1994. The Older Olopades named their son Adekunle Oladimeji Olopade. 

He is a Yoruba man. His first name, Adekunle, means “Crown Fills The House” in English. He was born and bred in Lagos City. Adekunle Olopade is a Lagos Island boy who hails from Lagos State.

He comes from a devout Christian household. He has a younger brother named Tunji Olopade. In his senior secondary school days, BBNaija Adekunle Olopade was in the commercial department and took business and management-related classes.

Career

When BBNaija Adekunle Olopade was an undergraduate at Redeemers University, he tried his hands at entrepreneurship. He established a fashion brand named Adire Nation. He ran the company for a couple of years and created bespoke adire-styled wear for customers. 

After graduating from the university, he observed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, and this helped him start building his work portfolio in the corporate sector. 

On the completion of his NYSC, Adekunle Olopade obtained professional certification and became a Chartered Accountant. He began working with a leading company in Lagos City. 

Over the years, he has worked with different companies, holding different positions and managing teams. He has excelled at every company he has worked for and is known for leading his teams to achieve laudable milestones.

Since 2020, BBNaija Adekunle Olopade has shown interest in participating in the Big Brother Naija reality show. Two years, his dream was fulfilled after he passed through the audition stage and different selection stages to emerge as one of the housemates in the 7th Season of the show. 

Adekunle Olopade was unveiled to millions of Nigerians on the 23rd of July 2022 at the show’s opening ceremony. He is competing to become the winner of the 2022 season tagged Level Up Edition.
