Cyril Chukwuemeka Pharaoh (born 4 November 1983) is a 40 years old fast-rising Nollywood actor and screenwriter.

The southeastern born actor goes by the nickname, King Pharaoh.

The talented actor is an Igbo man and has starred in several movies since his emergence on the big screen almost a decade ago.

Early Life

Cyril Chukwuemeka was born in 1983 to Chief Cyril Ikemefuna Nweke and Mrs Ifeoma Georgina Nweke.

He hails from Ifite-Ukpo, Anambra State. He is an Igbo man.

He comes from a royal household as his father was the Eze Ndi Igbo Nnanyelugo in Kaltungo city, Gombe State.

He is the first son of the family and has seven siblings. He and his siblings were raised in both the South East and Northern parts of the country.

His father is now a pastor of the church, Christ Liberation Ministry. His mum is an entrepreneur who runs a small and medium-scale enterprise.

Education

For his primary school education, he attended Obi Okosun Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Onitsha and St. Mary’s Nursery and Primary School, Suleja, Niger State.

He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from the latter school.

He obtained his West African School Certificate from Government Secondary School, Gwagwalada, Abuja. He left the high school in 1995.

Thereafter, he enrolled at the University of Jos, Plateau State where he finished with a diploma in Law and a degree in Political Science and Public Administration. This was in 2009.

Career

Having developed a love for acting from childhood, Cyril joined the industry as a professional actor in 2011. He made his debut in the movie, Snake Covenant.

He got his first lead role in a movie produced by ace actor, Kenneth Okonkwo. The movie titled The Last Day shot Cyril into the national limelight.

The handsome actor has been featured in several movies such as Born Again Billionaires, Covenant Of Money, Princess Ifeoma, Royal Twin Brothers, The Initiation, The Cross Carpet, The Penalty, amongst others.
