Kelvin Boj was born on the 21st of July to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Bojeghre in the late eighties. He is a Southerner and hails from Delta State.
He was born and bred in Lagos where he was exposed to the rich Nigerian music culture. He grew up listening to legendary musicians like Michael Jackson, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Bob Marley, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Kenny Rogers. He was influenced by the sounds of these artists and this created in him a desire to pursue music as a career.
As a teenager, he spent his free time during the weekends composing music lyrics. When he entered his twenties, he cultivated relationships with music producers in Lagos and started learning the craft of sound production.
Kelvin Boj obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate in Lagos State.
He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos and bagged a degree in Pure Physics from the institution.
When Kelvin Boj started out in the industry, he went by the name, LayLow. During his early years, he produced beats for artists such as Konga, Dagrin, Morachi, Remi Aluko, Erigga, Skiibii, and Brymo. As a producer, his rise to fame began after he collaborated with Morachi on his song, Hapuya Like Dat. This was in 2006.
In 2015, he took the decision to rebrand and changed his stage name to Kelvin Boj. He came to the international limelight as a music artist after releasing the song, Olosho. The song featured Ferry Wap.
Over the years, he has collaborated with other music big names like Davido, Olamide, Tekno, Yung6ix, Patoranking, Vector, Phyno, Lil Kesh, and Spellz.

He dropped his album Man On A Mission in 2020. The work is a 15-track project, with Kelvin Boj producing eleven of the tracks.
