Early Life

Hudayya Fadoul Abacha was born in the early 80s to Northern parents. She comes from a very illustrious family.

Her father is Dr. Khaloud Fadoul while her mother is Hajiya Fatima Fadoul.

Though she was born in Kano City, she originally hails from Borno State. She is from a Muslim household.

She has six siblings – two brothers and four sisters. She is the second child of the family.

As a child, she aspired to become a Civil Engineer but ended up studying Biology at the university.

Hudayya Fadoul Abacha completed her elementary and secondary school education in Northern Nigeria.

She bagged a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University Of Abuja.

Career

Though Hudayya Fadoul Abacha studied Biology in school, she has always had a great passion for fashion. From her teenage years, she had good fashion sense and always gave out fashion tips to close family members and friends.

A self-taught fashion designer, she had left her lucrative job at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) Abuja to start her fashion business.

She had been prompted to start the business after she successfully styled her sister for the latter’s wedding. She had also styled the bridesmaids. The designs she created had been so beautiful that many people began requesting that she make similar designs for them.

Although Huddaya Bridal Emporium started as a small business, it has grown into one of the biggest fashion brands in Nigeria and West Africa.

Hudayya Fadoul Abacha has had the opportunity of styling many celebrities and important personalities in society. As a designer, she has worked with Genevieve Nnaji (Nollywood Actress), Di’ja (singer & songwriter), Zahra Buhari (President Muhammadu Buhari‘s daughter), and Aisha Buhari (The First Lady Of Nigeria).

She was contracted to design the wedding dress of the daughter of former Taraba State Governor (Miriam Suntai).

She achieved the same feat with the daughter of the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa. The bride is Marilyn Okowa. She also worked with Zanan Buhari on her wedding dress.

She is unarguably one of the biggest bridal designers in the country. She runs a fashion institute for aspiring designers called Hudayya Fashion Academy.

Surprisingly, Hudayya also designed her own wedding dress.

Huddaya‘s mother-in-law is Maryam Abacha. She and her husband had known each other since they were teenagers. Because they were family friends. The couple started dating in 2009.

In 2016, the beautiful couple welcomed their first child, a boy into the world.
